The HSBC Young Entrepreneur Challenge 2012 is a business plan writing competition for full-time tertiary students that aspire to be a young entrepreneur in Asia. It is created with the charter to inspire the younger generation and advance technological entrepreneurship through competition and learning with neighbouring Asian countries.

Malaysian Team Wins Regional Finals and Technopreneur Award 2012
Malaysian YEC 2012 Champion, team EcoCell, has emerged as the Asia Pacific Champion as well as the Technopreneur Award Winner at the YEC 2012 Asia Pacific Regional Finals in Hong Kong.
They won against 5 other teams representing Bangladesh, Brunei, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand respectively to win a total of HKD 70,000 in cash prizes and a fast track admission into the Hong Kong Science Park Technology Business Incubation Programme with incubation services and fund valued up to HKD 1.4 million.
